Dr Sara Keller appointed Assistant Professor at the University of Oregon, USA.

Congratulations to Beyond Antibiotics postdoctoral researcher and Glasstone Research Fellow, Dr Sara Keller, who has been appointed Assistant Professor at the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact, University of Oregon. Sara will lead a research group focussed on developing ultrasound image-guided interventions with initial applications in host-directed therapies and immune modulation.

Sara joined the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford in 2021 and helped us kick start research projects related to biofilm removal and targeted antibiotic delivery, as part of the Beyond Antibiotics programme grant (UKRI - Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Programme Grant Scheme EP/V026623/1). She transitioned to independent research as Glasstone Research Fellow by developing ultrasound molecular imaging tools for diagnosing bacterial infections. During her time at the IBME, Sara has also delivered countless outreach and engagement activities and hosted work experience students to inspire the next generation of women in biomedical engineering.

We are thrilled for Sara's achievements, and we wish her all the best for this exciting new chapter.
